So far i found 2 Gold Pantone Colours (see files attached), but the 4485c i can't find it in the Pantone books the other it looks bad (i don't know if ti depends from my screen calibration or the pantone colour 871 C that appear too dark and dull) If anybody has experience on doing print work with this type of colour it would be great to get a ...
Add a comment. someone grabs all the loose pantone swatches and puts them in a paper bag. they hold the bag over their head. someone comes along and blindly chooses 2 colors. do they look good together? if so, that's the two colors. If not... they get one more pick, and those are now the two colors. Add a comment.
Pantone color conversion will be maddening. Some colors cannot be precisely achieved in RGB or CMYK. In my formula guide, there are two symbols used to denote compatibility (4 dots fot CMYK, 3 open circles for RGB). According to my formula guide, 431U should be achievable in both RGB and CMYK.
Currently I'm trying to figure out what are the correct color values in PMS, CMYK and RGB. I did some research and I'm starting in Illustrator (in CMYK mode) with a PMS color and converting PMS to CMYK is pretty simple. For example: PMS 343C -> C:98 M:0 Y:72 K:61 -> R:0 G:82 B:57. But when I compare those RGB and PMS values in Photoshop side by ...
2) You can use the color picker tool on the tint, and find a close match using the Photoshop Pantone chart. The link below explains partly how to do it. Mismatched CMYK Values. Here's an example: I got the Pantone 713 result by using the color picker on the circle at 50%, and going in my color libraries of Pantone in Photoshop.
Where 100% is the solid color. However, that is the darkest it will get. This is easier in Illustrator or Indesign... For Photoshop you would need a Spot Color Channel they simply apply a white gradient over black on that channel. Results of tinting a metallic spot color will, most likely, not be what you expect. You may want to discuss tinting ...
The manufacturer can only use Pantone colors to color the metal. We have located Pantone 871C as a likely candidate for gold (see image below) However, the issue is the 871C is coming out very bland and lacks the shine of gold. Please see the second image below about comparing the Pantone 871C color sprayed on the metal square (in the middle ...
It is one color. If you print a PMS color, and the print provider is actually using the Pantone ink system and they mixed the ink correctly, it will match the swatch from your book. If you are picking a CMYK process of a PMS book swatch, you are not printing a PMS color. If you are not running (and paying for) a separate plate and ink for that ...
How would I select a specific Pantone color in Photoshop, e.g. PMS 5625? Also, how do you pick a Pantone colour that is similar to a specific CMYK color, e.g. C61, M41, Y58, K16 green? In this case Pantone 5615C looks closest to the CMYK color.
The Lab values of the color books comes from making physical prints with the actual physical PANTONE inks and then measuring the resulting color with a measuring device. No information is giving about exactly which paper has been used or the settings of the printing device, so the measurements are only 100% accurate under the exact same ...
