Hello, I was trying to install two mods recently, and I went through the process, and they are enabled in vortex. The problem is that they don't show up in the game, and I can't find out why. Does anybody know what could cause this? Thanks.
Please keep in mind that this forum is for help with the Vortex application only. If you're having problems with mods in-game please consult the mod page or the game forums (found under "Community" -> "Forums" in the main site navigation while browsing mods for that game).
Finally an easy question! Click on Dashboard in the upper left of Vortex window. When the Dashboard opens, click on the big Add Tool Icon on the right.
- DAI MM will merge data with vanilla Patch only, so you'll have to rename "Patch" back to "Patch_ModManagerMerge" and move vanilla Patch back to Update folder to make DAI MM merge with new mod or as listed above delete modded Patch and just repeat renaming each time - it is more reliable way to ensure that all mods will be installed properly.
But in the "Supported" tab in Vortex Mod Manager, I am only presented with 44 (None of which I even own.) The updated extension also supports ordering of mods that were installed with the in-game mod manager (IGMM) that was introduced in Patch 7. These are shown as 'Not managed by Vortex' but can still be ordered the same as if Vortex had installed them. We can, however, only do so much!
Heavy flickering since the update, which becomes much, much worse when sorting and deploying, to the point of making Vortex unusable. GPU acceleration doesn't seem to help. Link to comment
The {base} part is referring to the base directory you set above, i.e. in that case your mod archives you download would be stored in D:\Games\Vortex\Fallout4\downloads and the Mod installations (i.e. the unpacked and correctly configured mods) would go to D:\Games\Vortex\Fallout4\mods.
EDIT: Personally, I don't use this method to adjust load order in Vortex. I let Vortex sort the plugins. On the few occasions when I've had to fine tune the load order, I've use group assignments. I mentioned this drag feature in Vortex only because (in my opinion) it's the easiest way to make a plugin rule, if you need to make one.
