ISTE membership is extended to individuals, affiliates (organizations, like school districts and state technology organizations), and corporate members interested in the use and application of technology in Education. ISTE has members in over 100 countries with concentrations in the US, Canada, Latin America, and Australia.
The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non-profit Society registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act of 1860. First started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it was converted into "Indian Society for Technical Education" in 1968 with a view to enlarge its activities to advance the cause of Technology education.
Resources to support the adoption and implementation of the ISTE Standards include the ISTE Essential Conditions, 14 elements needed to leverage technology for learning, and the ISTE Seal of Alignment, a program that reviews and recognizes resources for their alignment to the ISTE Standards.
