USEC gets better weapons/gear from the jump, in my opinion. I tried BEAR a few times, but I usually prefer USEC drip. Also until they implement the roaming BEAR gang on streets, USEC has the advantage in lighthouse and can get those tasks done easier. BEAR is the best cus Russian sounds better than English.
Shooting a USEC that does not have aggro on Rogues will count aggroing Rogues, so try not to shoot USEC players that are not hostile with Rogues if you want to live; vice versa for them as well so VOIP them, see if you can work w/ them. If you have to go in, go in at night, to reduce line of sight, get your quest done and get out.
USEC have a clear advantage right now on the new map Lighthouse as there is a new faction there of Rogues that are ex-USEC and they will shoot everyone on sight EXCEPT for USEC players. They have raider AI so they are nuts and have mounted guns. I went BEAR anyway so people can't use my dogtag for quests, and I've always gone USEC in the past.

I'm a USEC because the lore is obviously made by Russians biased against the west so I pick the big spooky american corporation and not the weird russian paramilitary organization sponsored by the government (BEAR is a stand in for the Wagner group). It's a cosmetic decision so do what you want based on what you want.
Just have to watch your pathing. Because you are USEC lmao. This is my 3rd wipe. First I was Bear because the name was cool, then I was USEC because the guns were cool, now Im BEAR again because I appreciated Russian guns more and also just alternating teams every wipe.
