Kleberg County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas.As of the 2020 census, its population was 31,040. [1] The county seat is Kingsville. [2] The county was organized in 1913 [3] and is named for Robert J. Kleberg, an early settler.
There are one National Historic Landmark district and five individual properties listed on the National Register in the county. One individually listed property is a State Antiquities Landmark while two others are Recorded Texas Historic Landmarks. The district includes additional Recorded Texas Historic Landmarks.

In 1956 Kleberg incorporated as a city. By 1970 Kleberg 4,510 people and three businesses made their homes in Kleberg. By 1978 Kleberg was the largest town in Texas with no property tax. On April 3, 1978 the city was annexed by the City of Dallas. [1]
