The first NY 9X was a loop route connecting US 9 to Saratoga Lake southeast of Saratoga Springs. It was assigned c. 1931 [40] [75] and renumbered to NY 9P c. 1936. [70] [77] The second NY 9X was an alternate route of US 9 through New York City in the vicinity of the Harlem River. It was assigned in the mid-1930s [70] [74] and removed in the 1940s.
