Shaun Cole (born February 4, 1979) is an American college baseball coach and former pitcher who is the head coach of the San Diego State Aztecs baseball team at San Diego State University (SDSU). He played college baseball at Pierce College and William Penn before beginning his coaching career as an assistant at Edmonds Community College.

A native of Long Beach, California, and an alumnus of San Diego State, Tony Gwynn returned to coach his alma mater after the end of his 20-year Hall of Fame career. [2] Gwynn was hired in the fall of 2001 to replace Dietz following the 2002 season. [3] The Aztecs' home field was renamed Tony Gwynn Stadium in his honor in 1997. [4]
