Regal Cinemas (also Regal Entertainment Group) is an American movie theater chain that operates the second-largest theater circuit in the United States, with 6,853 screens in 511 theaters as of December 31, 2021. Its first theater was the Park Terrace in Charlotte, North Carolina. Founded by Herman Stone, it was once part of The Stone Group. Consolidated Theaters was acquired by Regal Entertainment Group on May 1, 2008.
