Outbreaks can be severe (killing up to 25%+) to mild (3-5%) or in between. Outbreaks can be widespread to local. Hunters can observe killed deer for signs of having survived the virus such as sores/scarring on the chest and knees and/or evidence of sloughing hooves. However, a confirmation can only be obtained from a lab test.

Moderator. WHITETAIL, MULIES & BLACKTAIL. Whitetail are the oldest living species of deer at 3.5 million years old. The blacktail deer ( Odocoileus hemionus ) split off from the whitetail at some time in the past, thought to be a million years ago or more. The blacktail and the whitetail are different species.
I have some deer that show the black stripe down their back. The are pretty. My judgement is that is a seasonal thing, maybe having something with the change over from winter coats to summer coats. By hunting season all the deer we have taken have never had black on them and I don’t recall seeing them in the fall.

Senior Member. If you can find the "Appalachian Spring" variety of dogwood for sale and it is an offspring variety of a disease free dogwood found in Maryland. Its not a manmade variety but instead a natural survivor out of thousands of dogwoods. Hard to get as they sell out fairly quickly in the spring. Sep 21, 2024.

DNR actually does have a separate record keeping of deer, but it has higher minimum entries and is not as well advertised as GON's records. Purveyor of interesting, but largely useless facts ...
BG77 said: The islands on the outskirts of Savannah are absolutely overrun with deer. Isle of Hope, Skidaway, Dutch etc. This is an absolute necessity. The guys in the video aren’t the only ones doing it. I’ve been contacted by a private island owner with about 7 houses on it to do the same.

Omega 3 fatty acids -- eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) -- are derived from fish oils of coldwater fish such as salmon and trout, and flax seed. Omega 6 fatty acids -- linoleic acid (LA) and ...
