In 2007, Parker began to co-anchor the weekday "KTLA Morning News" at 5:00 A.M and 6:00 A.M. with Cher Calvin. Parker has been the anchor for the 11am - 2pm and 3pm newscasts at KTLA since 2015. She has won multiple Emmy Awards for her work. [2] Parker has made appearances on "Larry King Live" and E! Entertainment Television.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, her parents were Pam and Bryan Riggs.She first got the broadcasting bug by reading the news announcement during Elementary School. She went to James Island Charter High School where she was named to the school's Hall of Fame in 2023 [3] and Charleston Southern University where she graduated majoring in communications and played on the soccer team. WCSC-TV began broadcasting on June 19, 1953. [2] Originally operating from studios located on East Bay Street in downtown Charleston, it was the second television station in South Carolina and the oldest continuously operating station in the state (the first was WCOS-TV in Columbia, which broadcast from May 1953 to January 1956).
