The Coyote Creek Trail is a pedestrian and cycling trail along Coyote Creek in San Jose, California, which continues into Coyote Valley and northern Morgan Hill. The Coyote Creek Trail was designated part of the National Recreation Trail system in 2009. [1] It is also part of the Bay Area Ridge Trail system. [2]
Coyote Creek then bypasses the Newby Island landfill and empties into the San Francisco Bay. There is a chain of parks along Coyote Creek called the Coyote Creek Park Chain, which contains the Coyote Creek Trail. Lower Silver Creek is a 4.7-mile-long (7.6 km) [1] [2] northwest and westward-flowing stream currently originating just north of Lake Cunningham in Evergreen Valley in southeast San Jose, Santa Clara County, California. It is tributary to Coyote Creek, whose waters flow to south San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
The trail connects to the Coyote Creek Trail via the bike lane on River Oaks Parkway. There is an entrance to that trail just south of Camille Circle. An alternate connection is via Cisco Way, and then onto the trail behind building 15. Further north, the Coyote Creek Trail connects to the northbound portion of the Bay Trail.
