Howell County is in southern Missouri.As of the 2020 census, the population was 39,750. [1] The largest city and county seat is West Plains. [2] The county was officially organized on March 2, 1851, and is named after Josiah Howell, a pioneer settler in the Howell Valley.
In 2008, the school received an award called Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) from the American School Counselor Association. It is Missouri's second school to receive this recognition. [16] As of 2018–19, the school has an enrollment of 693 students in grades 6–8. There is 48 teachers on staff. [17]
