In 2013 the North Forest Independent School District was annexed into HISD. Portions, including Settegast, were rezoned from North Forest High School (the only remaining comprehensive high school in NFISD) to Kashmere. [6] By 2016 Kashmere underwent remodeling. [7] The total cost was $19,000,000. The remodeled campus opened in 2018.
