The 2021 Western Australian state election was held on Saturday 13 March to elect members to the Parliament of Western Australia, where all 59 seats in the Legislative Assembly and all 36 seats in the Legislative Council were up for election.
The results in Western Australia were the subject of significant media attention on election night, as the swing towards Labor in the state was much higher than every other state and territory at 10.55%, and the swing was large enough to deliver a Labor majority government. [17]
