Grand Haven State Park is a public recreation area on the shores Lake Michigan on the south side of the mouth of the Grand River and harbor in Grand Haven, Michigan.The state park encompasses 48 acres (19 ha) consisting entirely of beach sand.

Grand Haven is the first city officially designated as Coast Guard City, USA by an act of Congress signed by President Bill Clinton. The act was Public Law 105-383 enacted by the United States Congress and signed by the president on November 13, 1998. The smaller, less known Tri-Cities region lies in Western Michigan's Ottawa County, roughly west of Grand Rapids. The three municipalities are Grand Haven , Ferrysburg , and Spring Lake . The combined population of them and adjacent townships was 47,263 as of the 2020 Census.
