NFA F.C. is a Welsh football club based in Rhyl, Denbighshire. The team play in the Ardal NW League. The club won the North Wales Coast East Football League in 2023–24, achieving promotion to the Ardal Leagues. They also have a women's team, who play in the Adran North. [3]
The club announced it had officially submitted its application to the North Wales Coast FA to play tier four football in 2020–21. [ 8 ] In July 2020 it was confirmed that the club had been placed in the tier four Premier Division of the newly formed North Wales Coast East Football League .
Rhyl won the title in 1925–26 and became a limited company in 1928 as Rhyl Athletic. In 1929, Rhyl applied to join the Football League but York City became the only non-league team elected to the Third Division North. With North Wales football in turmoil in the early 1930s, Rhyl sought to realise their ambitions elsewhere.
Bartley was born in Flint in North Wales and played for his local club in the North Wales Coast League [2] as well as reaching the first final of the Welsh Amateur Cup in 1891. [3] At Flint , he gained a reputation for his goal-scoring, although he did "tend towards rough play". [ 2 ]
The club played in the North Wales Football Combination for the 1930–31 season, [2] and the Bangor & District League for the 1931–32 (reserves) and 1932–33 seasons. They then joined the North Wales Coast League where they finished as runners-up in 1933–34 and champions in the last season of the league in 1934–35.
