The Speedway Great Britain (SGB) Premiership (sponsored by Sports Insure) is the top division of speedway league competition in the United Kingdom, governed by the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) in conjunction with the British Speedway Promoters' Association (BSPA). It was introduced for 2017 following a restructuring of British speedway.
The 2024 SGB ROWE Motor Oil Premiership was the 89th season of the top tier of British speedway and the 7th known as the SGB Premiership. [1] The defending champions were Sheffield Tigers and Ipswich Witches were the defending Knockout Cup champions. Belle Vue Aces won the title, [2] while Sheffield Tigers won the Knockout Cup.

The 2024 FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Great Britain was the seventh round of the 2024 Speedway Grand Prix season (the World Championship of speedway). It took place on 17 August at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. [1] [2] It was the 28th Speedway Grand Prix of Great Britain.
Speedway highlights are also shown on Quest. Since 2016, Quest has showed coverage of the British Superbike Championship live, free-to-air. Originally, it was to avoid a clash with other events being shown on Eurosport's normal broadcast channels, but subsequently the event has regularly been shown on the channel either live or by highlights. Eurosport was closed down in May 1991 after rival Screensport channel filed a complaint to the European Commission over the corporate structure. [4] The channel was saved later that month when the TF1 Group (formed after the French government privatised the post ORTF-split TF1 5 years prior to the acquisition) stepped in to replace BSkyB as joint owners.
