In a world where most of the population is gifted with special powers known as "Quirks", Izuku Midoriya is a young boy who always dreamed of becoming a hero, despite not having a Quirk himself, until one day he is attacked by a villain made of sludge and is rescued by none other than All Might, the best hero in the world and his idol since childhood.
Izuku and the others head to Humarise's headquarters with the device on a plane piloted by Rody. Katsuki and Shoto deal with high-ranking Humarise villains, while Izuku faces Flect Turn, whose Quirk reflects whatever comes into contact with him. Izuku is overwhelmed by Flect Turn's natural defenses, as well as his laser barrage.
Accepting Midoriya and Bakugo as his students, Endeavor first seeks to understand what each has to work on. Izuku hopes to master all of his other Quirks, and Bakugo desires to know what he is missing besides strength. Todoroki interjects, intending to learn everything he can from Endeavor, to become someone like All Might.
Izuku Midoriya, the current wielder of One for All, meets Mahoro Shimano and her younger brother Katsuma, residents of the island. Despite some hostility from the sister, Izuku bonds with them along with his rival Katsuki Bakugo , and discover that Katsuma wishes to become a hero, although Mahoro seeks to dissuade him, fearing for his safety.
