Location: Des Plaines, IL. Posts: 462. I have a Prestige BTV for my 1700 Lund Explorer. Aside from not knowing you're pulling a boat, they had six bunks, which eliminated the need for side guide ons. Boats on a Prestige look cool. Too bad Byron had to close up shop. this prestige trailer is terrific. the load distribution on the bunks and stability from the dual axles is awesome. the prestige trailers are worth the upgrade price. with approximately 8000 miles on this trailer, there is no unusual tire wear. i will definitely run the same trailer on my new boat next year. «

Last week at a show I saw an Alumacraft on a Prestige from Rock River Marina (608-884-9415), I-90 near the WI/IL border. If that is on your route, maybe give them a call, and see if they have an empty trailer to look at.

I requested load guides for my Prestige. Dealer said that I did not need them with their trailer. I had them on two previous trailers and I wanted them on the Prestige. I ended up calling the factory and they insisted the trailer loaded well enough in any condition without the guides. They even offered to put some on later if needed.

Galvanized Prestige - I love mine. I have had three painted trailers and won't go back. I average 6 thousand miles of towing per year with substantial gravel/rock roads mixed in. No chipping/rusting with galvanizing. I don't have to replace lights on my Prestige like I did with my Shorelander and the tire life is much longer.
