Ellenborough Park Hotel (previously the baronial hall, Southam House or Southam Delabere) is a country house hotel in Southam, about 2 + 1 ⁄ 2 miles (4.0 km) northeast of the centre of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building. [1]
Southam House, now Ellenborough Park Hotel. Thomas Goodman is thought to have begun building Southam House c.1500 and was completed by Sir John Huddleston, [9] who was steward of Sudeley Castle. [10] Southam House was later used by The Oriel School for Girls and now it is the Ellenborough Park Hotel.

Cheltenham Park Hotel in 1826 before the fire Opening of the Hunt at Lilleybrook (now Cheltenham Park Hotel) in 1900. When William Dugdale died in 1896 his eldest daughter Mary Ollivant Dugdale (1865–1932) inherited the house. A year earlier in 1895 she had married Herbert Owen Lord and so the property was brought into the Lord family. [10]

The M&SWJR closed on 9 September 1961 and the Cheltenham to Banbury line closed on 15 October 1962, when the station at Charlton Kings finally shut. Electric trams operated by the Cheltenham and District Light Railway were also used in Charlton Kings between 1903 and 1930 when they were replaced by buses.
The Cheltenham Ghost was an apparition said to haunt a house in Cheltenham in western England. The building in Pittville Circus Road was the home of the Despard family who saw the ghost of a veiled woman on several occasions in the 1880s.
