In 1935, Marguerite Stetter, of Bellevue, Kentucky purchased the old Tom Cody Estate on the Dixie Highway for use as a cemetery. In January 1937, the first burial took place at Forest Lawn. The absence of large grave markers and monuments made Forest Lawn unique in the 1930s. The cemetery was built as a "garden."

The Church at Good Spring was organized in the year 1842 on the third Saturday in February by Elders Jesse Moon, R.T. Gardner and William Skaggs with the following members: Brown Blair, Mary Blair, Isaac Blair, Lucy Blair, David Blair, Betsy Blair, J.L. Smith, Sarah Smith, Rachel Pace, William Skaggs, J.D. Sanders, Sally Sanders, Thomsas Meredith, Esaline Smith and Pega Davis.
Other notable people buried at the cemetery are U.S. Chess Champion, Jackson Showalter and two famous artists: Will Hunleigh a landscape artist, and equine artist, Edward Troye. It also is the burial site of a murder victim known originally as "Tent Girl" who was later identified as Barbara Ann Hackmann Taylor in 1998.
Linden Grove Cemetery is located along Holman Street, between 13th and 15th streets in Covington, Kentucky, United States. It is the second public cemetery in Covington, the city's first public burial ground being Craig Street Cemetery, which dates to 1815. Craig Street Cemetery closed in 1872. Most of the bodies were moved to Linden Grove.
