Rituals is an American soap opera that aired in first-run syndication from September 10, 1984, to September 6, 1985. [1] Developed by Gene Palumbo , Clifford Champion, Joyce Corrington and John William Corrington , it was loosely based on a novel of the same name by Charlene Keel.

Television in the Netherlands was officially introduced in 1951.In the Netherlands, the television market is divided between a number of commercial networks, such as RTL Nederland, and a system of public broadcasters sharing three channels, NPO 1, NPO 2, and NPO 3.
Rituals won the Ferdinand Bordewijk Prize [2] and the Pegasus Prize. It was published in an English translation in 1983 by Louisiana State University Press, which also published English translations of other works by Nooteboom through 1990. The novel was adapted as a 1988 French-language film with the same title, directed by Herbert Curiel. [3]
