In 2011, Seligman developed the PERMA-model, this model defines well-being in terms of five pillars: Positive emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment (PERMA). In 2016, Butler and Kern developed the PERMA-profiler, to rate each of these five components. The profiler uses a set of 15 questions (three items per PERMA domain).
