The Al Sabah family originate from the Bani Utbah confederation. [1] [2] Prior to settling in Kuwait, the Al Sabah family were expelled from Umm Qasr in southern Iraq by the Ottomans due to their predatory habits of preying on caravans in Basra and trading ships in Shatt al-Arab. [3]

Sheikh Mubarak Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah is a Kuwaiti entrepreneur and a notable member of the House of Sabah, the ruling family of Kuwait.He is the founder and chairman of Action Hotels, Action Real Estate and Action Hotels, as well as vice-chairman of their parent family holding company Action Group Holdings.
A member of the ruling House of Sabah, Ahmad was born on 13 February 1971 [1] to former Kuwaiti Prime Minister Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah. [2] He attended Kaifan High School in Kuwait, graduating in 1987. During the 1990s, Ahmad attended a number of French-language schools.
Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (Arabic: الشيخ صباح الأحمد الجابر الصباح, romanized: ash-Shaykh Sabāh al-ʾAḥmad al-Jābir aṣ-Ṣabāḥ; 16 June 1929 – 29 September 2020) [3] was the Emir of Kuwait from 24 January 2006 until his death in 2020. He was the fourth son of Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Sabah was made the head of the Crown Prince’s Court in 2021. [9] He was named as the prime minister-designate on 15 April 2024, and succeeded Mohammed Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah in the post after forming his cabinet and taking the oath of office before the Kuwaiti Emir on 15 May. [10] [11] [12] [13]
