In 1850, Moravian missionary Nils Otto Tank bought it, added the wings, and covered the building in clapboard. Originally located on 8th Street in Green Bay, the building was moved to Heritage Hill State Historical Park in 1976. It is the oldest extant building from Wisconsin's early history.
