South Menan Butte measures 3 km x 2 km. The crater of the North Menan Butte is about 3,000 feet (900 m) in diameter and the cone is about 6,000 feet (1,800 m) in diameter. The North Butte's volume is 0.16 cubic miles (0.70 cubic km) and the South Butte measures at 0.07 cubic miles (0.30 cubic km).

Randall Lee Smith (June 29, 1953 – May 10, 2008) [1] was an American convicted murderer from Pearisburg, Virginia. [2] He pleaded guilty shortly before trial commenced to two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of hikers Robert Mountford Jr. and Laura Susan Ramsay, both 27-year-old social workers from Maine who were murdered by Smith while hiking the Appalachian Trail in May 1981.
Tanner Butte, officially Tanner Creek Butte, [1] is a peak on the boundary between Hood River and Multnomah counties in Oregon, on the edge of the Columbia River Gorge. Its 4,478 feet (1,365 m) elevation [ 1 ] makes it the highest point in the western Gorge.
