University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College (or UA–PTC) is a public technical college in North Little Rock, Arkansas. It is part of the University of Arkansas System and mainly serves the Central Arkansas region, along with Little Rock to the south. The college maintains satellite campuses throughout Pulaski and Saline Counties.
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - at Pulaski is one of 46 institutions in the Tennessee Board of Regents System, the seventh-largest system of higher education in the nation. This system comprises six universities, thirteen community colleges, and 27 Colleges of Applied Technology.
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock, UALR) is a public research university in Little Rock, Arkansas.Established as Little Rock Junior College by the Little Rock School District in 1927, the institution became a private four-year university under the name Little Rock University in 1957.
The college's first president, Dr. Terry J. Puckett (1992–2000), was appointed by the board effective December 1, 1992. To better reflect the college's service area, it changed its name from Pines Technical College to Southeast Arkansas Technical College on July 1, 1996. The word "Technical" was removed from the college's name on July 8, 1998.
UAMS is the largest public employer in the state with more than 10,000 employees. As of fall 2015, UAMS had 3,021 students, including 694 medical students, 475 in the College of Pharmacy, 781 in the College of Nursing, 662 in the College of Health Professions, 180 in the College of Public Health and 229 in the Graduate School.

The college's main campus is on Arkansas State Highway 304 E in Pocahontas, covering 246,030 square feet (22,857 m 2) in 20 buildings over 90 acres (360,000 m 2). BRTC also has one offsite location in Paragould about 40 minutes away from Pocahontas that offers technical and general education credit and workforce training.
