Richard Lewis Deacon (May 14, 1922 [2] [3] – August 8, 1984) was an American television and motion picture actor, [4] best known for playing supporting roles in television shows such as The Dick Van Dyke Show, [5] Leave It to Beaver, [6] and The Jack Benny Program, [7] along with minor roles in films such as Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) [8] and Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963).
Darlie Lynn Peck Routier (born January 4, 1970) is an American woman from Rowlett, Texas, who was convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of her five-year-old son Damon in 1996. She has also been charged with capital murder in the death of her six-year-old son, Devon, who was murdered at the same time as Damon.

To date, Routier maintains her innocence in the crime, attributing it to an unidentified intruder. In 1987, Frances Elaine Newton shot her husband and her two young children for their life insurance money.
