Blackfoot is an American Southern rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1970. Though they primarily play with a Southern rock style, they are also known as a hard rock act. [ 1 ] The band's classic lineup consisted of guitarist and vocalist Rickey Medlocke , guitarist Charlie Hargrett, bassist Greg T. Walker and drummer Jakson Spires.
The band began touring and producing hit songs that included "Train, Train", which was written by his grandfather, and "Highway Song", lyrics and title were written by Rickey and Blackfoot drummer Jackson Spires. The songs music, backing vocals and solos were arranged by "Blackfoot" and appeared along with songs written by others.
Strikes is the third studio album by the American Southern rock band Blackfoot. [3] It was released on March 7, 1979, through Atco Records. Recording sessions took place at Subterranean Studios in Ann Arbor, at Sound Suite Studios in Detroit, and at Bee Jay Studios in Orlando. Production was handled by Henry Weck and Al Nalli.

Greg T. Walker (born 8 July 1951) is an American bassist who played with rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd between 1971 and 1972. [1] His main band, named Blackfoot, existed between 1969 and 1985. [2] In 2004 a new line-up was born, with Axe frontman Bobby Barth as their singer/guitarist.
The band officially broke up amid declining fortunes in the mid-1980s, though Medlocke resumed recording under the name Blackfoot a few years later. He is now, again, a member of Lynyrd Skynyrd. [4] Heavy metal band Exodus covered "Good Morning" which was released as a b-side to the single "The Lunatic Parade" (1990).
