Texas State Bank opened its first branch in 1991. The bank operated in Shelby, Angelina, and Tyler Counties. The bank was purchased by Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria along with State National Bank for $2.6 billion USD in 2006. Eusebio Leal Spengler (11 September 1942 – 31 July 2020) was a Cuban historian. He served as the municipal historian of Havana, as well as the director of the restoration project of Old Havana. Under his oversight, the historic centre of the capital city became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. [1]

The Cuban State had undertaken enormous efforts to preserve and to restore Old Havana through the efforts of the Office of the Historian of the City, which was directed by Eusebio Leal. The restoration effort successfully transformed Old Havana into a tourist attraction, and also resulted in Leal becoming recognized as Old Havana's de facto Mayor.
