I don't see anything special for existing customers when purchasing a new phone, to stay with Cricket. I understand that there isn't a contract, but Cricket can still lower the price of the phones for existing customers and/or include a free month with an upgrade. I don't see why they're not doing anything.
Last week, my orders were canceled a few times before it finally went through. Instead of putting a new line in our existing grandfathered account, we decided to open a new account. More pissed about the $25 than the 90 days. They should allow you at least one upgrade a year without charging the fee. Or allow an exception for replacing lost or damaged phones. Not every purchase is an upgrade. Even though I have 5 lines, I have only bought 2 phones in the last 3 years from cricket. So the 90 days doesn't bother me.
