The Demerara Harbour Bridge is a two-lane floating toll bridge, 1.9 km (1.2 mi) long, near the mouth of the Demerara River. It is primarily a low-level bridge which possesses an elevated span with a vertical clearance of 7.9 m (26 ft) in the middle of the river to permit small craft to pass.
