The Epoch battery is big, Length: 20in, Width 10.25 in Height 11 in but it is a Beast. The battery is not charged while running the boat. I only charge it prior to use. If you have room and you are looking for a very strong battery that will last all day and then some, try Epoch. I have no ties with Epoch and I get nothing for this review.
That's the basic difference between a Deep Cycle battery and a Starting battery. For any given case size, the former can put out more total power over time, but not as large short-term bursts. The latter is exactly the opposite: It has been optimized for those short ultra-high-current bursts, at the expense of total usable capacity over time.
Still undecided and could very much stick with the 24V single battery and charger. Just thinking out loud. Lastly, what battery setup would I need.
