Winter's Bone is a 2010 American coming-of-age [4] drama film directed by Debra Granik.It was adapted by Granik and Anne Rosellini from the 2006 novel by Daniel Woodrell.The film stars Jennifer Lawrence as a poverty-stricken teenage girl named Ree Dolly in the rural Ozarks of Missouri who, to protect her family from eviction, must locate her missing father.
After Winter's Bone, Dickey appeared in the science fiction film Super 8 (2011) directed by J. J. Abrams, and the superhero film Iron Man 3, directed by Shane Black in 2013. Daniel Woodrell (born March 4, 1953) is an American novelist and short story writer, who has written nine novels, most of them set in the Missouri Ozarks, and one collection of short stories.
