McCauley decided to turn the campground into a resort, originally named Camp Calso. He put up the main building in 1930. [6] The resort was among the new automobile-oriented vacation resorts developed in the 1930s, others being Whispering Pines and Pine Grove.

A 2007 book said that Glenbrook's campgrounds and buildings had disappeared, the site now being the location of Pine Grove, a local business. [6] As of 2021 Mandala Springs Wellness Retreat Center, at the junction of Glenbrook Road and Bottle Rock Road, appeared to claim Glenbrook Resort as the prior occupant of their site. [13]
Barlett Springs were discovered by Green Bartlett when he was on a camping trip in 1869. He was suffering from rheumatism and found that the waters helped him. He acquired the property and established a resort. [7] Bartlett's resort could accommodate 500 guests. [2] A post office operated at Bartlett Springs from 1873 to 1935. [2]
