The city is mostly surrounded by West Bloomfield Township, with a small northeast border with Keego Harbor. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 2,375. [4] About 40% of the city's total area is water, with the main geographic feature being Orchard Lake, which occupies about 30% of the city's total area. [5]
