  2. 1001 Uses for Unseen Servant | Tabletop Roleplaying Open

    forum.rpg.net/index.php?threads/1001-uses-for-unseen-servant.864926

The spell Unseen Servant has been present for most of D&D, but it strikes me that it has a great deal more potential than it's given credit for. It essentially gives 60-foot range weak telekinesis, lasting a full hour, and capable of any service a human servant could perform including complex manipulation like folding clothes.

I agree the spell ends if you and the servant are more than 60 feet apart. Doesn’t matter what causes this (you leaving or it leaving). Unseen servant is very open to interpretation and would largely be up to your specific DM. There is little point in asking others what it can do. As it’s up to the DM what constitutes a simple task.

    88. Two servants make a fine levitation spell for small, light characters. 89. Allows your illusion to carry a real object such as a torch or key.

  5. [5E] Best cantrips and 1st level spell for Magic Initiate feat?

    forum.rpg.net/index.php?threads/5e-best-cantrips-and-1st-level-spell-for-magic...

There;s a lot to be said for the ritual feat, in that it lets you "think through" a lot of magic over the levels, and a sympathetic wizard in the party will help you out: not only are there things like fid familiar and unseen servant and tensor's disk at level 1 (good utility spells), but there's the get-through-the-short-or-long-rest spells that give you a place to hide, an things like water ...

So, if it's not a pressing issue of time, I'd allow a Servant to cut hands bound by rope, rope bridges, etc., because I'd not require an attack roll for something that basic. 63. The Servant carries cymbals or drums, to crash dramatically as you enter any social situation. 64. Dabs your brow with a handkerchief during/ after combat 65.

  7. [5E] Unseen Servant's Speed? | Dungeons & Dragons / Fantasy D20...

    forum.rpg.net/index.php?threads/5e-unseen-servants-speed.827799

So let's say I command my Unseen Servant to follow an enemy around and continually drop bags of ball bearings at their feet. I know on my turn I can command it to move 15 feet, but since it's supposed to continue to follow my command "to the best of its ability until it completes the task" it...

  8. Necro - [5E] Spell ideas for Dream magic - RPGnet Forums

    forum.rpg.net/index.php?threads/5e-spell-ideas-for-dream-magic.774640

Since my 5E conjurer wizard has been using the Dream spell quite a lot in game, I've been thinking it might be interesting to have him research an original spell based on dream magic. However I can't quite decide what would be an appropriate effect or how it would work. Ideas I've had:

    forum.rpg.net/index.php?threads/so-how-would-you-handle-a-player-wanting-to...

Not really but my last D&D 5e Planescape game had a Thri-keen warlock, a Tabaxi wizard, a Human pop star warlock from 1980s Earth, a Mimic fighter, and a Demiplane “sorcerer” adventuring together. So Three Kobolds seems pretty normal. I also ran a 4e campaign in a setting that was dominated by Dragons, Dragonborn, Kobolds, Troglodytes, and ...

I wouldn't really care - that way lies madness Really, fantasy hamlets exist in the same way that frontier towns bloomed to support the gold diggers in the wild west.

There’s some really nice spells in that category, including Maze, Gate, Prismatic Sphere and Wish. One charge may be expended to cast Unseen Servant, or up to 6 can be spent at a time on a combination of Monster Summoning I, II and III spells if they are sufficient level to cast the respective spell.
