    www.fishlore.com/aquariumfishforum/threads/rainbowfish-species-schools-etc.311337

My question relates to keeping different species of Rainbowfish together, and proper numbers, schools, etc. From seeing posts, advice, etc. from various members of this forum, it seems like the popular school of thought here is that each species of Rainbowfish should be kept in their own "proper" school (6+ fish).

  5. Male or Female Boesemani Rainbowfish | Rainbowfish Forum

    www.fishlore.com/.../threads/male-or-female-boesemani-rainbowfish.525348

Ok. Sounds good. Rainbowfish can be more aggressive if overstocked or if the tank is too small. At this point you are ok but will need a bigger tank (minimum 55 gal) to keep the Boesemani long term. Could be just a feisty female. I may not bet my house on it but I'm pretty confident that the fish in pic 1 is a female and the other one is male.
