Shout out to Sub70 Canada. For the Canadian golfers here, i want to give a shout out to Sub70 Canada. I setup an appointment with Gino from Sub70 yesterday to try out their clubs. He worked along with my schedule and drove right across the GTA to allow me to demo the clubs. He knew the clubs really well and got me to try their whole lineup.
I feel if you’re a high handicap player looking at ping irons or callaway big Bertha irons, the sub70 669 is a GREAT alternative to soften the blow to your wallet. But if your eyeing some mizuno mp 20s or apex pros these will not satisfy your dreams of awesome WITB posts. Also, I do highly recommend ballistic golf MB’s and cb’s.
I called Sub70 and gave them the specs that i got from the fitting (lie, loft, shaft, etc) and they made the perfect set of clubs for me. I got them in less than 2 weeks. Super forgiving clubs, look great, and the price can’t be beat. They have held up nicely with minimal wear considering I play them often.
The 639mb plus irons feel, look, and perform fantastically compared to my wilson. They are different clubs at heart but as a mid handicapper, they have changed how i feel about bladed clubs and seriously considering buying my own set and heres why. My C100 irons are forgiving and have fallen into being stronger lofted.
I will be buying a new set of DTC irons as Black Friday approaches. I've narrowed my choice down to two options: Sub70 699 Pros and Haywood Signature Irons. Both seem to fit my current game level while allowing for growth. Both look great, with Haywood definitely taking the edge there, the S70's definitely seem to be the more reviewed and used.
r/golf • All I needed was a birdie on the 18th hole to shoot my career low (-5, 67) at the Old Course, and then all my hopes and dreams were crushed by a bladed wedge. Bounced on the road a few times and did not come back.
These clubs are such a joy to play. My carry distances increased a good 10 yards per club (those 962/670's are very weak lofted) and misfits feel soo much better. The hybrid is so easy to hit and get the ball up in the air quickly while the irons have a very pleasing penetrating ball flight.
After having them for a few months, several rounds of golf, and many practice sessions, I am ready to give a review on my Sub70 639 CB irons and 939X 5W. Starting with the TLDR: About me: casual golfer, mid-handicapper (mostly brain and driver related), 100-105 driver SS, replacing Srixon 965s, M2 3W. Good:
Sub 70 Golf 2024 AMA. General Discussion. We're back again! Our CEO Jason and I did an AMA a little over a year ago and we thought it would be nice to circle back with the r/golf community. Feel free to ask us anything whether it's about Sub 70, golf equipment, golf in general or literally anything else that crosses your mind.
The biggest difference is the absolute monstrous price difference. A brand new P790 set rings in at more than double the price of the 699 pros, and you’d still have left over to buy really nice golf shoes. Overall, and for me personally, Sub70 outperformed Taylormade and I’m even happier with my purchase.
