Just a newbie homeowner here who recently did a kitchen & bath remodel. I went with Kohler sinks and faucets, and a Toto Toilet. For the bathroom I chose the Kohler Purist cross handle line (in brushed chrome from a high end kitchen/ bath store), and for the kitchen I got the Kohler Corolais (also brushed chrome, from Home Depot).
Local hardware stores don’t seem to have many Kohler replacement stems in stock at the moment, so I’m trying to gather as much information before resorting to shutting off the supply to take the stems out and measure them. I’m seeing similar vintage Kohler faucets online, but none with the smooth face on the handles.
Does anyone recall what the Kohler faucet warranty was, for pre-1997 bathroom faucets? In searching the internet, I can't seem to find any mention of it. The current warranty that is posted everywhere is for 1997+ faucets. Thanks in advance.
They have 30-year old Kohler faucets that work perfectly. (I had the valves in all 16 faucets in the house reconditioned about 10 years ago at a local faucet repair shop.) The escutcheon and handles look terrible. The handles are obsolete and also very dated - but the faucets work great. The bodies are brass and in excellent condition.
After a recent bathroom remodel, our new Kohler Shower Faucet seems to have cold / hot reversed. When turning faucet on, the water is immediately hot, then gets cold once you turn further clockwise. Not a big deal, but we are selling the house and the buyers wanted that fixed. I thought I could flip the cartridge / mixer valve 180 degrees to ...
Our relatively new (14 months)Kohler Forte kitchen faucet sprayer hose started leaking and we worked with Kohler to obtain a replacement. Unfortunately I cannot seem to remove the old hose from the brass coupler under the sink and the instruction that came with the hose are for the coupler type shown on the left of the picture below and mine is ...
How do I get the bonnets off these Kohler sink faucets? My goal is to replace the valve; oddly, the hot side handle on both sinks is really hard to turn (both installed ~8 yrs ago), but the cold is just fine. I removed the set screw from the handle and am able to pull it off. But can't get the bonnet off.
It was the Crescent series, but the current Bravura series has the same design and handles. K-6847 is the lavatory faucet.
The faucet we install the most in our remodel projects and I never have to warranty is the Kohler Simplice.. selling on Kohler.com for $200 or $230 on HD. But one thing.. our faucets are coming through a plumbing wholesaler vs a big box retailer.
I have replaced faucets before on my existing home and I am pretty sure the valves that were installed when it was build is NOT the same brand as the faucets I picked up at Home Depot. I want to purchase Fontaine fixtures, not Kohler.
