    I have a PDF with fillable fields saved and had no problems up until this week. When I try to change or enter text, the below icons pop up. The grayed out one is "Fill in form fields" while the other is "Request e-Signatures". I'm trying to remember if I did anything out of the ordinary in the past week, but can't recall anything.

    The PDF was originally from a web browser (Safari), but I downloaded it. I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Version 2018.011.20036.     My issue is with the mobile app as well. I secure my pdf files with the Edit > "Restrict Editing" password setting, which should disallow changing the document, document assembly and content copying, but allow printing, page extraction, filling out of forms, signing, etc. as shown on the Document Porperties dialog box's Security tab.

    One of the simplest ways is to use the Add Background feature of Edit PDF. Open the PDF from your Word document, open the Edit PDF tool and then under More, choose Background=>Add.
