However, we do have to protect our intellectual property. The specific look and design of the cards is part of the game's trade dress and, therefore, covered by our trademark.

Aug 25, 2012 (edited) Overview. Card Maker is intended to assist in the creation of cards for a game. Cards can be generated using a CSV file as your data (text) source. You can enter all of the pertinent data into a spreadsheet, edit your card layout, then iterate easily without having to go back and change the layout of every card individually.
Once you've downloaded the .xcf Gimp file and opened it, navigate to the "Windows" tab and open the Toolbox and Layers Dockable Dialogues. Then get straight to creating. If you're interested in making the board/mat as realistic as possible (like me), download and install the following fonts: Linux Libertine. Morris Roman.
All in all, it was an expensive project that clocked in around $600 total, much of it from 3D-printing and last-minute rush shipping. Had the project been run very efficiently with more experience, $300 would have sufficed. The box, 18.25”x12.25”x1.5” with printed top and sides, $17 from Print & Play.
Joe Ryan. @TinyFlameGames. Oct 11, 2016. I use Canva.com for designing cards. This won't work for actual printing (most likely) but I have been using them for prototypes and it works great. It is super simple and it is easy to duplicate cards and card features. It's free, though you can pay for some perks.

new updates - layers will highlight momentarily so you know which layer is where. You can adjust positions of layers by using the up/down/left/right arrow keys on keyboards by 1 unit. Holding down the CTR key and hitting the arrows will adjust position by tenths, it +0.1 or -0.1. You need to highlight the layer first though.
