The ship returned to Norway in 2012 and is now a part of the coastal route travelling between Bergen and Kirkenes. MS Finnmarken is the third Hurtigruten ship with this name. Previous ships were DS Finmarken from 1912 and MS Finnmarken from 1956, which is currently part of the Hurtigruten museum in Stokmarknes, Norway.
MS Fram is a passenger vessel operated by the Norway-based Hurtigruten Group. The ship is named after the original Fram, the ship used by explorers Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen. The ship operates in the Arctic Ocean and around Greenland in the summer, and cruises around Antarctica at other times of the year.
The ship arrived at Svolvær on Monday 3 July at 8pm after 35½ hours and at Hammerfest on Wednesday 5 July after 67 hours. She was commanded by founder of the route Richard With. At that time this was the fastest route between northern and southern Norway, and this resulted in the route being named Hurtigruten (express route). [5]

MS Trollfjord is a Hurtigruten vessel built by Fosen Mekaniske Verksteder in Rissa Municipality, Norway in 2002. It is named after the Norwegian Trollfjord. She has a sister ship, MS Maud, which also sails for Hurtigruten. [2]
MS Nordlys is a Norwegian-registered cruise ship operated by Hurtigruten. She was built by Volkswerft GmbH in Stralsund, Germany in 1994. She has two sister ships, Kong Harald and Richard With which also sail for Hurtigruten. The ship caught fire in September 2011 while sailing off Ålesund, Norway.
