Elwyn "Ed" Comstock (July 12, 1903 – December 8, 1980) was an American professional football player who played in the National Football League (NFL) for two seasons with the Buffalo Bisons, Brooklyhn Dodgers, and Staten Island Stapletons. Comstock would appear in a total of 23 career games, while making 10 starts.
Lenny Kaye (né Kusikoff; born December 27, 1946) is an American guitarist, composer, and writer, notable for his work with the Patti Smith Group, his contributions to music magazines, and his garage rock retrospective anthology Nuggets.
He was the son of James C. Comstock (born 1819). He attended the public schools and Lansingburgh Academy. Then he studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1867, and practiced. On August 11, 1869, he married Mary E. Benson (1838–1929). Comstock was a member of the New York State Assembly (Rensselaer Co., 2nd D.) in 1880.
