Crackington Haven (Cornish: Porthkragen, [1] meaning "sandstone cove") is a coastal village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is in the civil parish of St Gennys at grid reference at the head of a cove on the Atlantic coast. The village is seven miles (11 km) south-southwest of Bude and four miles (7 km) north-northeast of Boscastle. [2]
The Atlantic coast of Cornwall normally referred to locally as the North Coast, due to its north-facing orientation, makes up approximately half the coastline of Cornwall. Part of the South West Coast Path runs its entire length. It is known for its beaches, some of which are regarded by many to have the best surf in Europe.
