Naval Air Station Barbers Point (ICAO: PHJR, FAA LID: JRF), on O'ahu, home to John Rodgers Field (the original name of Honolulu International Airport), is a former United States Navy airfield closed in 1999, and renamed Kalaeloa Airport. The airport was first proposed by the Asahikawa City Council in 1955, opened in 1961, and daily flights to Tokyo started in 1970. The present terminal of Asahikawa Airport opened in 2000. It is a second class airport , and also a single-runway regional airport.
Sometime between 1908 and 1910, the two formed the architectural partnership of Emory & Webb. They designed numerous buildings and residences in Honolulu, perhaps the most notable being the 1922 Hawaii Theatre. [8] Emory died in 1929. [4] The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places listings on Oahu on October 30, 1998. [9]
