9 – 10 April 2021: A generic BBC ident, featuring a gold coloured BBC logo forming onto a blue background in silence, followed by the continuity announcer saying, "This is the BBC". This ident was first seen to introduce special programming across both BBC One and BBC Two following the death of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, on 9 April.

From 1958, there have been six different BBC logos. The first logo of the network was used from 1958 to 1963, the second from 1963 to 1971, the third from 1971 to 1992, the fourth from 1988 to 1997, the fifth from 1997 to 2021, [1] while the sixth and current logo was adopted in October 2021. [2]
At the time, BBC Two became the first BBC channel to feature a box logo. In 2007, BBC Two debuted the new theme, a "Window on the World", with the 2 numeral providing that view. Introduced on 18 February 2007, the new look also had the channel adopt a teal-coloured box logo, featuring the BBC logo above the word TWO, now in the font Avenir.

Happy Birthday BBC Two is a British entertainment television film that was first broadcast on BBC Two on 20 April 2004 to commemorate the channel's 40th birthday. [1] [2] The film was broadcast again from 16 to 24 April 2014 for the channel's 50th birthday in 2014.
BBC Two also became the first BBC channel to receive the new style of logo, in its case this was a purple box with the BBC logo stacked above 'TWO'. [14] At the time, BBC2 was perceived as not fitting in with the overall network branding, because all of the other BBC channels retained their 1997 idents.
