S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia (abbreviated as STC), is a fee-levying Anglican selective entry boys' private school in Sri Lanka.Started as a private school by James Chapman, the first Anglican Bishop of Colombo, in 1851, it was founded as a college and cathedral for the new Diocese of Colombo of the Church of Ceylon, modelled on British Public school tradition.

The annual rugby match between Trinity College and S. Thomas’ College Mt Lavinia is played for the Canon R. S. de Saram Trophy, which was first awarded in 1978, [14] de Saram house in the college is named after him, as is a bursary. A bust unveiled in 2006 stands in the College office. [15]

The college was founded as a private school by Dr. R. L. Hayman , the longest serving sub warden of S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia, in 1942.
