Hadden Irving Clark (born July 31, 1952) [1] is an American murderer and suspected serial killer currently serving two 30-year sentences for the murders of 6-year-old Michele Lee Dorr in 1986, and 23-year-old Laura Houghteling in 1992.
Years later, on October 18, 1992, he killed 23-year-old Harvard grad Laura Houghteling. But it took years for Clark, a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic, to confess.
Laura's bedroom was then searched using luminol, which reacts with the enzymes in blood. The police now had a prime suspect, her part-time gardener Hadden Clark. Amido black was used to enhance the fingerprints found on the bloody pillowcase, which were matched to Clark. In 1993, Clark pleaded guilty to Houghteling's murder.
The Texas Killing Fields is a title used to roughly denote the area surrounding the Interstate Highway 45 corridor southeast of Houston, where since the early 1970s, more than 30 bodies have been found, and specifically to a 25-acre patch of land in League City, Texas [1] where four women were found between 1983 and 1991.
