Volente is a village in Travis County, Texas United States located on the north shore of Lake Travis. A post office was first established at Volente in 1886, with Andrew J. Stanford as postmaster [3] but was not incorporated until 2003. [4] The population was 561 at the 2020 census. [5]
Right-of-way was sold to Austin and Northwestern Railroad in October 1881. The railroad built a park with a swimming pool, gazebo, baseball field, picnic grounds, and concessions stands in the summer of 1882.
